OEO Studio x Mater
With its newest launching, Mater shows how garbage can be reimagined into classic items. Working Together with Thomas Lykke, establishing partner of OEO Studio, the set presented the Lily table and Substance chair collections, each built out of Matek, Mater’s exclusive product that integrates post-consumer fiber and plastic wastes. “There is an appeal and credibility to the product that draws you to touch and feel– much like if it was constructed of wood, stone, or other natural products,” states Lykke. “On an individual level, I am consumed with the combine in between crafts and custom with innovation, [namely] AI, and Mater is a fine example of ending up being a green tech ‘mover’ instead of simply a style brand name.”
